Matt BacaMatt Baca, MA, provides humorous, highly effective programs, either individually or along with Dieter Bruhn, for international businesspeople working with U.S. counterparts. Workshops include: Understanding U.S. Cultural & Business Traits through U.S. Movies and TV Programs; Language & Culture Training for Overseas Call Centers; Email Etiquette: Communicating Effectively with Americans; Don't Open a Can of Worms: Idioms for the Non-Native Speaker of English, and Accent Reduction for the Non-Native Speaker: Difficult Sounds, Rhythm, Stress, & Intonation, among others.

Matt has been part of the pre-enrollment program at the University of Colorado since 2002. He earned his undergraduate degrees in Fine Arts and Spanish, with a minor in Russian language and culture. In 1997 he received his Masters degrees in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Since 1997, he has served as corporate trainer and instructor of international business students and professionals in universities and businesses spanning the globe, including Latin America, Europe, and Central and Far East Asia. Matt combines more than 10 years of teaching and facilitating expertise with solid instructional principles and humor to provide high-energy, highly participatory training sessions.

Since 2002, Matt is principal owner of a business communications company, geared to the needs of international businesses and professionals worldwide. His clients include Sun Microsystems, Ionis, Omega Consulting, Tucker International, Ankara International Hotel Services, and the International English Center at Boulder. He has managed, designed, and taught in Pre-Enrollment programs at the Economics Institute in Boulder, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and the University of Colorado at Denver. He has spoken at numerous conferences, most recently at the Colorado and Arizona TESOL conferences, and the CIBER (Business, Language and Culture) Conference in Utah.
