Nora Burns, SPHR, is a results-oriented learning and organizational development (OD) professional with twenty years of experience in human resource management and training. Over the course of her career Nora has successfully consulted on learning and development projects including training design, task analysis, organizational development and design, policy formation and implementation, labor relations, and strategic planning.

As Training & Organizational Development Consultant for Great-West Life and Annuity, Nora provided comprehensive consultative OD services to managers and supervisors on team building, conflict resolution, talent review, and other topics; developed and implemented a manager on-boarding program and brown-bag series; and partnered with the Great-West legal team to successfully introduce mandatory legal issues training to the organization.

While serving as a regional Human Resource Manager and trainer/coach for McLane Foodservice Nora developed specialized training for the distribution team, increasing new hire selection accuracy by 12%; developed and implemented a company-wide campus recruiting program, reducing reliance on external search firms by 20%; and served as an internal coach for both managers and individual contributors.

Nora's additional corporate experience includes curriculum development for front-line managers on collective bargaining and employment law, collective bargaining negotiation, development of corporate university learning and development programs, development and management of incentive-pay systems, and organizational fundraising and corporate giving efforts.
