Dixie Darr, MEd, is dynamic, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. She creates a powerful and supportive learning environment by incorporating humor and real-life situations. During her more than 25 years of experience, Dixie has taught corporate employees from a wide variety of industries, including communications, technology, law, and retail, plus public agencies and nonprofits. Her interactive workshops in writing, presentations, critical thinking, creativity, self-employment, and earning a college degree as a working adult have benefited thousands of people. She holds a master's degree in adult learning from Colorado State University.

A versatile writer and a member of the Colorado Authors' League, Dixie has written books, special reports, and hundreds of articles for both local and national publications. She has also written and edited corporate manuals, training materials, newsletters, reports, and speeches. In 2001-2002, Dixie was selected as a Colorado Voices columnist for The Denver Post. She has taught business writing and communications classes at the University of Phoenix for 22 years and, for the past five years, has chaired the communications faculty in Colorado.
