Debra began her career as an engineer. She is a 15+ year member of the National Speakers Association presenting to hundreds of audiences around the world to clients that include Deloitte, Google, Solheim Cup Golf, Aspen Skiing Company, Unilever, General Electric, Hensel Phelps Construction, University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business, and Cisco Systems.

Her bestselling first book The Fine Art of Small Talk and recently released The Fine Art of the Big Talk: How to Win Clients, Deliver Great Presentations, and Solve Conflicts at Work is the second in the "Fine Art" series. Her books have been translated and published in over two dozen countries including Spain, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, and China.
