Jeffrey LuftigJeffrey Luftig, PhD, is currently the W. Edwards Deming Professor of Management at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he previously taught in the Leeds School of Business and the Department of Applied Mathematics in the College of Engineering. Prior to working at CU, Dr. Luftig was Founder and President of his own consulting firm specializing in the Quality Sciences, Applied Research, and Business Performance Improvement. His firm served a number of Fortune 100 and 500 firms in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia.

His course subjects include ethics and decision-making in business management, with emphasis on providing participants with the ability to recognize ethical issues and dilemmas affecting managers in the workplace, various models and practices offering solutions to these issues, and creating a culture of ethics and integrity to build a profitable, healthy, and responsible organization.

Dr. Luftig has provided consulting for organizations such as: Sun Microsystems, StorageTek, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Ionics-Sievers, Inovonics, and Ball Aerospace.

His most recent professional honors include: the Proctor & Gamble Teaching Excellence Award, the Graduate Professor of the Year, and the SOAR Teaching Excellence Award.

The author of more than 70 publications, including three books and a number of journal articles, Dr. Luftig received his BS from the SUNY College at Buffalo, an MEd from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and a PhD from the University of Minnesota.
