David Sanford, MA, CPCC, is an intercultural training specialist with more than 20 years of related experience in the field. Having spent more than thirteen years living and working abroad including assignments in the UK, Taiwan, India, Iran, Italy, and Japan, he has an intimate understanding and insight into the challenges faced by those living and/or working in multicultural environments. Mr. Sanford's diverse corporate experience includes international sales, marketing, and transnational strategic business development for Fortune 500 companies as well as educational institutions in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

As a professional consultant, he has coached and conducted need assessments, designed, and facilitated specific cross-cultural training to meet the global business needs of such clients as AT&T, General Motors Corporation, Ball Aerospace, Media One Telecommunications, Prudential Insurance, Hughes Aircraft Corporation, The Gap, BP Amoco, Coors Brewing Company, Intel and Twentieth Century Fox.

Mr. Sanford currently serves on the Board of Advisers for The America-Bhutan Council and Global Nomads International. He is also a former board member of SIETAR-USA (Society for International Education, Training and Research), and currently serves as a selection panelist for the Fulbright Memorial Fund as administered by The Institute of International Education.

Mr. Sanford holds a master's degree in Intercultural Management from The School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. He obtained his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. In 2003 David was certified as a Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) by The Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, California, and is a practicing business coach.
